NSW Police find body of 58yo man in Coffs Harbour bushland

Police have discovered the body of a 58-year-old man on the state’s North Coast after he was reported missing at the weekend. Here’s what we know.

Police have discovered the body of a 58-year-old man on the state’s North Coast after he was reported missing at the weekend.

He was last seen on Albany St in Coffs Harbour on Sunday.

When he was unable to be located or contacted, a missing persons report was lodged with Coffs/Clarence Police.

At 3.30pm on Monday, officers found a body in bushland off John Champion Wy in Coffs Harbour.

While the body is yet to formally identified, police believe it is that of the missing man.

Police say there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the man’s death.

A report will be prepared for the coroner.
