Man allegedly glassed in face in Woolgoolga fight, Coffs police investigate

A man and woman were taken to hospital and a third person is on the run after an argument allegedly got out of hand in the early hours of Sunday.

A wild argument between three people in the early hours of Sunday left two people in hospital - one with cuts to the face after being glassed.

A third person is still on the run.

About 3am on Sunday, April 3, a group of people were at a home on Nightingale St, Woolgoolga, when an argument broke out.

The argument took place between two men - aged 36 and 40 - and a 49-year-old woman, according to a NSW Police spokesperson.

The two men allegedly got into a physical fight in which the younger one was hit in the face with a glass bottle leaving him with several lacerations.

The 36-year-old man was taken to Coffs Harbour Health Campus by a family member, who called emergency services on the way.

The woman suffered a hand injury and was taken to hospital by road ambulance.

The older man fled from the house before police got there and is still on the run.

Officers attached to Coffs/Clarence Police District attended and established a crime scene.
