Linda Britton court trial starts in Coffs Harbour

A mother charged with dangerous driving causing the death of her own daughter and another woman is set to face trial this week.

A mother charged with dangerous driving causing the death of her own daughter and another woman is set to face trial this week in Coffs Harbour.

Linda Britton is facing five charges in relation to the incident at a Nambucca Heads car park in September 2019 which led to the deaths of Ms Britton’s daughter Skye Luland, 24, and Kazzandra Widders, 20.

Linda Britton, who was 52 at the time, will face trial on:

- two charges of manslaughter

- two charges of dangerous driving occasioning death-drive manner dangerous

- Fail to stop and assist after vehicle impact causing death

Flowers and cards were still visible at the scene on Friday.

The trial is set to begin on Monday.
