Two alleged drug dealers who were charged in relation to a spate of raids which took place on the Coffs Coast last month have appeared in court.
De-anne Joyce Davis and Samuel James Turner appeared before Coffs Harbour Local Court on Monday on drug supply charges.
Police alleged the cases are linked to an operation which targeted the distribution of illicit drugs including meth and cocaine in the region.
This operation saw Coffs/Clarence detectives and officers from the Raptor Squad execute a number of search warrants at homes in Coffs Harbour last month. A number of co-accused were arrested.
A lawyer representing both Ms Davis and Mr Turner on Monday said they had not been informed at this stage whether their cases would be taken on by the Director of Public Prosecutions to be heard alongside the co-accused in the District Court.
The lawyer requested that the cases against be adjourned for four weeks to allow for this to be determined.
They further requested that Mr Turner’s bail conditions be varied to allow him to go on a holiday to SeaWorld.
One of Mr Turner’s bail conditions was that he could not leave Coffs Harbour, however Magistrate Ian Rodgers agreed to suspend this condition for a week to allow Mr Turner to go on the family holiday.
Magistrate Rodgers told the pair they will be expected to enter pleas at their next Local Court appearance on August 9 if it is determined that their cases will not be heard in the District Court.
They are both facing one charge each of supplying a prohibited drug, between an indictable and commercial quantity.
