Editorial - December 3: Not hard to find good in the world
Editorial - December 3: Look at our local community and look for the good in the world. You won't have to look too hard to find it.

Don't miss out on the headlines from Opinion. Followed categories will be added to My News.
TOO often the news we take in through various media can leave us thinking the world is a bleak place.
Bad news travels fast and many times our vision or hearing is filled with tragedies and/or hate from around the globe.
Having sat in the acting editor's chair this week, I'm pleased to say the world isn't all doom and gloom.
Particularly in our community.
This week the Advocate's editorial team has been in contact with many wonderful people who place the needs of others above themselves and are only too willing to help people in need.
Especially as the festive season rapidly approaches.
Throughout the year the Advocate has run its Community Champion campaign, highlighting many people in our region who do such wonderful work for others.
So next time you're watching or listening to the national and world news, don't feel like the world isn't a great place to live.
Instead, just look at our local community and look for the good in the world.
You won't have to look too hard to find it.
