The Mid North Coast arm of a national leadership firm has been saved at the last moment as a globetrotting local found her next challenge.
Olivia Jamison has spent 20 years working in leadership and development roles around the world, delivering programs for the Office of the Prime Minister in Britain, Barclays and BP.
Now she has taken turned her focus to developing people’s skills closer to home as Leadership Management Australia relaunches on the Coffs Coast.
LMA works with organisations to develop the leadership skills of their key people and was introduced to the region 20 years ago by Marilyn Brien. Since then, Ms Brien built it into the most successful regional arm of the business and the fate of the organisation hung in the balance when she decided to retire.
Thanks to Ms Jamison, any fears the organisation would leave the region proved unfounded.
“I was blown away by Marilyn’s passion from the beginning,” Ms Jamison said.
“But what really sold me on LMA was meetings with past participants. So many people literally said that LMA had changed their lives.
I’ve been in leadership and development for a long time and it was obvious that the LMA process had the power to make a real difference. I wanted to be a part of that.”
Olivia acquired the license in earlier this year and her initial focus has been on re-engaging the Coffs Coast region and relaunching the local brand.
With the impact of Covid all too familiar, all LMA programs are conducted online, giving participants an opportunity to learn with others from around Australia.
