NAPLAN 2024 results: Top performing schools across Clarence Valley

Clarence Valley Anglican School and St James’ Primary School are Clarence Valley’s top performing NAPLAN schools in 2024.
An independent analysis of newly released 2024 NAPLAN results has revealed the schools which performed the best in the year 5 and year 9 tests.
St James’ Primary School, in Yamba, had the best primary school results in the area, scoring an average of 503.6.
Copmanhurst Public School was the second best for the region with an average score of 494.0, while Clarence Valley Anglican School in Clarenza was the third best with an average score of 478.2.
The top performing secondary school was Clarence Valley Anglican School, in Clarenza, where the average result was 561.8.
McAuley Catholic College in Clarenza was the second best for the region with an average score of 559.6, while Maclean High School in Maclean was the third best with an average score of 558.0.
To determine how each school performed in 2024, the scores for all five test subjects for the student cohort (year 5 or year 9) were combined and the average found.
Special schools, schools with fewer than 20 students enrolled, and schools that did not report any results for NAPLAN subjects were excluded from the analysis.
The figures were independently compiled from the federal government’s MySchool website.
