A shocked driver has recounted the moment he lost control of his car and ended up in the path of a truck after a suspected tyre blowout on Friday.
Jason Watson was entering the Pacific Highway at Moonee Beach, north of Coffs Harbour when he felt his car suddenly “lift up like I had run over something” before he lost control and slid into the path of a truck travelling in the same direction.

Talking after the incident, the visibly shocked man pointed to the car and said he was “lucky to be alive”.
“That’s the bloody car, I am lucky to have come out of it the way I did,” he said.
“I came out with a cut on my hand and a sore shoulder.
