A Coffs Harbour man has denied multiple charges of attempting to lure a child under 16 into having sex with him.
James McMillan stood calmly as the three charges were read out in district court on Monday as he was asked to enter pleas.
The 46-year-old told the court “I’m not guilty” in relation to the three charges.
Police will allege in court that on three separate occasions between March 4 and March 13 last year he used a phone to attempt to engage in a sexual act with a person believed to be under 16.
A trial estimated to take between five and seven days has been set for May 19.
McMillan is currently on bail.
