Some current Councillors have indicated ‘the end of June’ as their deadline to decide if they will run again in the September elections.

A number of new candidates have already declared their intentions and the Advocate is attempting to speak with all current Coffs Harbour City Councillors to see what their plans are.

Mayor Denise Knight says she honestly hasn’t decided yet and that she will probably make a decision by the end of this month or in early July.

Cr Paul Amos has indicated he will run again – so too has Cr Tegan Swan.

He has been in Australia for 51 years, 31 of those in Coffs Harbour.

It is Cr Cecato‘s first term and he ran on a platform of bringing the voice of business to council.
