FULL LIST: Road and bridge works planned at Coffs Harbour
Coffs Harbour City Council has an extensive plan to improve roads and bridges - many damaged by the wet weather. See where your local roads stand in the pecking order - full list.
Coffs Harbour
Don't miss out on the headlines from Coffs Harbour. Followed categories will be added to My News.
Coffs Harbour’s massive road network - dirt and sealed - has copped a walloping with successive bombs of torrential rain and periodic flooding.
The same has happened in the neighbouring local government areas at Bellingen, Clarence and Nambucca.
The upshot has been a patchwork of potholes - and watching drivers trying to avoid wheel buckling damage is like seeing Supercars warm their tyres before the flag-fall at the Bathurst 1000.
The good news is that council’s roadworkers are doing everything they can to address the successive waves of damage to the surface.
They just need a sustained break in the wet weather as they strive to get on top of the situation.
Coffs Harbour City Council is responsible for the bulk of the roads in the local area, and a number of significant works - as well as regular maintenance - are planned for this financial year.
These special projects include bridges, which have also been knocked about by the foul wet.
