Mother’s Day at the Hoey Moey

What: Mum will get a free glass of bubbles on arrival at this event. There’ll also be a special Mother’s Day menu and live music from Raku O’Gaia and Who’s Charlie to enjoy. Pre-book by calling the venue directly.

Mother’s Day Market in Urunga

What: Held on the foreshores of the twin rivers, this is a little market with a huge heart. With a great selection of stalls, food and entertainment on offer, it’ll be a perfect outing for mum.

Opening – Printmakers Exhibition “Unframed”

What: Do something different for Mother’s Day – art! See the exciting new exhibition showcasing the artwork of the Coffs Coast Printmakers. Featuring drypoint (etching) linoprints, collagraphs, solar plate etching and more. All artworks are for sale.

Mother’s Day at the Movies

What: Treat mum to the best day with movies that she’ll love. This Mother’s Day, join BCC Cinemas with their advance screenings and be the first to see Those Who Wish Me Dead, based on New York Times best-selling author Michael Koryta’s novel of the same name. Or if heartfelt comedies are more her forte, you won’t want to miss the heartwarming story June Again about family matriarch June and her journey to bring together her estranged children and save the family business.

There’s also psychological thriller Fatale, and romantic comedy Locked Down to choose from.

Live theatre - Into the Woods

What: If mum’s a fan of live theatre, this one’s for you. Coffs Harbour Musical Comedy Company presents Into The Woods – James Lapine and Stephen Sondheim’s fantastic musical which weaves together fairy-tale figures such as Cinderella, Jack (of the beanstalk), Little Red Riding Hood and the Wolf, Rapunzel and the witch, and more than one handsome Prince, but not as you’ve seen them before.

Where: Jetty Memorial Theatre.

Afternoon tea and fashion parade in Sawtell

What: Pregnancy Care Coffs Harbour are holding a special afternoon tea to celebrate motherhood. There’ll be a fashion parade hosted by Beaches at Sawtell, and raffles and an auction to raise important funds for the charity.

Where: Sawtell RSL.

When: 2pm-4.30pm. Bookings essential.

Mother’s Day in the hinterland

What: Bring the family and spend the afternoon relaxing while enjoying lunch and laughs. Entertainment will also be provided on the day courtesy of Cobweb Collection Entertainment.

Harbourside Markets with live music from Cold Caller

What: Take a stroll with mum along Coffs’ stunning jetty foreshores while browsing stalls from a range of local businesses. Art, jewellery, clothing, plants, and much more will be on offer – complemented by the sounds of blues, soul and rock ‘n’ roll from Coffs trio Cold Caller.

Sikh Museum Takeover: From Early Settlers to Bridal Glamour

What: Bring mum along to the latest exhibition at Culture Hub – sharing artefacts, interactive displays and insights into how the storylines of local Indian weddings have shifted over time. Photographs of local marriage stories and cultural marriage practices are on show, including personal stories of how couples met, and a ‘then’ and ‘now’ photo essay.

When: 10am-4pm.

Mother’s Day at Moonee Beach

What: There’ll be free champagne on arrival for all Mum’s at this event, as well as a lucky door prize and raffles at lunchtime, live music from Mitch Burgess, fresh flowers for sale, and a blind canvas speed art challenge with great prizes.

Where: Moonee Beach Tavern.

When: Noon-8.30pm.

Mother’s Day Brunch at Coffs Golf Club

What: Spoil mum with a beautiful brunch including a selection of croissants, danishes and pastries and a main meal choice from the Brunch menu. Every Mum will receive a complimentary Mimosa on arrival. Bookings are appreciated by calling the Lakes Cafe on 66523244 ext 4.

Mother’s Day in Woopi
