Coffs Cup: Flashback photo gallery from 2012

The 2022 Coffs Cup will run next week, but look who we caught on camera trackside 10 years back.

Coffs Cup 2019

Young roosters, stunning princesses - the Coffs Cup is always an opportunity for locals to don their finest and revel in a big day out trackside.

The past decade has seemingly raced past since the 2012 social extravaganza.

In Australia, it was the year when tobacco products moved by law to plain packaging, a carbon tax was introduced, Wiggles members Greg Page, Murray Cook and Jeff Fatt announced they’d be stepping down from the group, and cricketer cum commentator Tony Grieg passed.

At the 2012 Coffs Cup, rugby league legend Laurie Daley was among the throng, while jockey Danny Nikolic saluted after a winning ride aboard Pepperwood.

Race forward to today, and Coffs Harbour will grind to a halt next week (August 4) for the running of the 2022 Cup.

Now in its 57th year, with a local public holiday thrown in to boot, a crowd of 6000-plus is on the cards at the Coffs Harbour Racing Club.

An eight-race program will be offered, while the Fashions on the Field will as ever be hotly contested.
