The business savvy couple behind several Domino’s pizza stores across the state are celebrating the grand opening of their latest restaurant at Woolgoolga.
Nathan Quiring rose up the ranks from humble beginnings, starting out as a delivery boy at Domino’s over 14 years ago. He quickly went from driver, to shift runner, store manager and then regional manager.
Vanessa Quiring also began her career in pizza in 2007, stating as an in-store member making pizzas before taking on more senior roles including store manager.
It wasn’t until 2017 that the couple fell in love with the idea of earning their own ‘crust’.
When the opportunity arose, the pair made the leap to become franchisees and took on Domino’s Armidale and Armidale East.
Alongside fellow franchisee Aiden Loy, the couple were thrilled to open the doors to their sixth store at Woolgoolga, which officially opened on Monday.
“As a local business owner, I understand it is a privilege to be able to operate and safety feed those in the community during this time,” Nathan said.
The couple are urging anyone who has lost their job due to COVID-19 to apply for a position as a delivery expert or in-store team member.
“Not only is the opening of this store a great opportunity to reach more customers and provide safe, hot meals, but I’m also proud that this new venture will create ten new jobs for locals in Woolgoolga.”
Passionate about being present with her new team and getting involved with the local community, Vanessa said she was excited to provide Woolgoolga locals with safe, hot meals.
“These challenging times have highlighted just how important it is to look out for your local community, and I look forward to continuing to be an active and supportive member,” she said.
The Woolgoolga store located at Woolgoolga Central on Beach St marks the third Domino’s on the Coffs Coast, with stores operating at Toormina and the Coffs CBD.
Woolgoolga was previously home to an Eagle Boys before the Australian company collapsed in 2017.
