WITH less than three months to the Australian leg of the World Rally Championships on the Coffs Coast, the time has come to activate business to allow for best promotion, best representation and best long-lasting impression.

Coffs Harbour City Council and ETC have combined with the NSW Department of Trade Investment, Regional Infrastructure and Ser-vices to provide a variety of programs designed around stimulating business growth, development and service levels to showcase the Coffs Coast to thousands of direct visi- tors and millions of viewers around the world.

One such program to be rolled out, in particular for the benefit of frontline service providers, is the AussieHost program.

AussieHost is Australia’s Customer Service Standard and is committed to providing staff in all service sectors with superior customer service skills and knowledge to maximise customer opportunities.

This internationally recognised program teaches valuable skills and provides individuals with a range of practical, well proven tools.

With AussieHost training, customer service providers will develop positive attitudes to service, improve the way they relate to customers, exceed customer

expectations and create a first-class experience for their customers.

An exciting opportunity for the Coffs Coast is to become the first AussieHost community in Australia.

This highly recognised status shows a community’s commitment to providing excellent levels of customer service through all parts of it.

The Coffs Coast could well be recognised across Australia as the epitome of service provision, commitment to customers and creation of experiences exceeding customer’s expectations.

These AussieHost workshops, in preparation for World Rally, are being offered at a heavily subsidised cost per participant during the months of July and August.

They will be held in each of the areas of the region being used for Rally stages.

Further details are available from Coffs Coast Tourism on 6651 7766 or Fiona Barden on 0429 690 679.

Alongside these workshops opportunities also exist for business owners/managers to be involved with ETC’s business development workshops.

These workshops will assist business to be fully prepared for the unknown along with refining skills and knowledge they already possess to deliver all they need to build profitability into their businesses.
