BP Nambucca Heads listed as venue of concern after visit by Covid-19 case

A service station at Nambucca Heads has been listed by NSW Health as a venue of concern after a visit by a Covid-19 case.
On Sunday afternoon Mid North Coast Local Health District released a statement indicating that anyone who visited BP Nambucca Heads on Thursday 19 August between 2pm to 2.15pm is considered a casual contact.
Those people who entered the BP at the times listed must immediately get tested and isolate until they receive a negative result.
NSW Health have already contacted those people deemed a close contact.
It is unknown at this stage whether it is linked linked to one of the two confirmed Covid-19 cases in Kempsey.
The revelation comes as NSW Police confirm they arrested one person and issued five other PINs after a anti-lockdown protest in Coffs Harbour.
Regional NSW is now entering its second week of lockdown, with local business owners already pleading with authorities for more help after a tough few months.
Coffs Harbour’s Abir Saad said she was solely focused on surviving after a downturn that began with border closures and the greater Sydney lockdown continued to bite.
In July, the city had to contend with its own Covid-scare which shut down a major construction site and led to a mass exodus of shoppers from retail outlets in a shopping centre mistakenly listed as a venue of concern.
