A man has died at Lowanna, near Coffs Harbour on the Mid North Coast after he crashed into a tree

A 76-year-old man could not be revived after he crashed into a tree on the states Mid North Coast. Here is what we know.

A man has died following a single-vehicle crash on the states Mid North Coast.

On Friday afternoon about 3pm emergency services were called to Moleton Road, Lowanna, 35kms northwest of Coffs Harbour after reports of a crash.

Paramedics arrived to find a 76-year-old man had left the road and crashed into a tree.

Attempts to revive the man were unsuccessful and unfortunately he died at the scene.

Officers from Coffs/Clarence Police District established a crime scene that was examined by specialist police.

A report will be prepared for the information of the coroner.
