Christmas Animal Kingdom runs at Sydney Zoo until Christmas Eve

A Sydney zoo has transformed into a Christmas wonderland with an enchanting snow land, a galaxy of lights, a roller rink and Santa’s village joining 4000 animals for the festive fun.

It’s enough to satisfy the most ardent Christmas and animal lover with a snow-inspired playground, Santa’s Village and workshops transforming Sydney Zoo at Eastern Creek into a Yuletide wonderland.

From Friday until December 24, the Christmas Animal Kingdom will host 4000 animals,

breathtaking festive displays, entertainment and free activities along with the chance to explore the menagerie of animals at the rambling zoo.

There is a Magical Snow Land, a giant snow slide, Candyland to decorate your own gingerbread, craft activities at the Elves workshop and Rudolph’s Barn for those who love Christmas carols.

Get your skates on and take a spin on the roller rink or post a letter express to the North Pole at Mrs Claus’ Post Office.

Then pay a visit to the jolly man in red where you can have a professional photo with Santa, who will give every child a free gift.

The fun awaits at the giant slide and foam pit.

The Magical Snow Land features inflatable castles and a “penguin mountain” where you can zip down the slide into a massive foam pit.

When the sweet cravings kick in, dart over to Candyland to decorate your own gingerbread cookies before being entertained by singing reindeer at Rudolph’s Barn.

Also fit in a visit to the Elf Craft Village to unleash your inner artist with the help of some friendly elves and make your Christmas wishes official by sending a letter straight to the North Pole at Mrs. Claus’ Post Office.

Roving characters include mischievous elves, lively snowmen and even The Grinch will get into the Christmas spirit when he helps youngsters decorate a pair of antlers.
