A young girl is among four people rushed to hospital after a two-car crash on NSW’s South Coast this evening.
About 6pm, paramedics were called to Forest Rd, Nowra Hill after reports two cars had collided on the road near the Princes Hwy, a NSW Ambulance spokesman said.
Four people were treated at the scene, including a young girl.
It’s understood two people were trapped in one of the cars during the crash but were later freed by ambulance rescue crews.
Emergency services sources said the girl suffered moderate back injuries and was transported by ambulance to Shellharbour Airport in a serious condition, before being flown to Sydney Airport by a rescue helictoper and then driven to The Children’s Hospital and Randwick, where she remains in a serious condition.
Two adults including one of the drivers were taken to Wollongong Hospital with minor injuries, while the other driver was taken to Shoalhaven and Nowra Hospital in a stable condition.
Both vehicles were badly damaged during the crash and were towed from the scene.
