A teen whose disappearance sparked a massive police search has been found safe in northern Sydney, his relieved mother confirmed.
Chase Scorey wiped all data from his electronic devices including his laptop and iPad and left his mobile phone at his Buller St home when he rode away on his pushbike at 8.15am on Friday.
Police issued a public plea for help to find the boy fearing he was in serious danger.

Chase’s dad Ben went to Hornsby to hunt down CCTV footage of shops and other buildings after investigations traced the 14-year-old to Hornsby train station.
“A boy who saw the article on the Telegraph website saw my husband giving out flyers and told him he had seen Chase earlier in the day and recognised him,” Mrs Scorey told The Sunday Telegraph.
“All I know is he was found an hour ago at a skate park and we are so very thankful and relieved for all the public help.”
Mrs Scourer earlier told The Sunday Telegraph she was extremely worried Chase was in serious danger and had headed to Hornsby to meet someone he had met online.
“This is absolutely out of character for him. We are sick with worry this is so out of the blue, we need to get the word out so people help us find him,” Mrs Scorey said.
“All I can put it down to is he met someone online, they instructed him, talked to him about leaving everything and wiping his data.”
Meantime another 14-year-old boy from Charlestown remains missing and police are again appealing for help.
Cooper Hazlewood was noticed missing about 1pm on Tuesday.
Officers from Lake Macquarie Police District and Cooper’s family have concerns for his welfare as this behaviour is also considered out of character.
Cooper is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 140-145cm tall, thin build, light brown hair and green eyes.
Cooper is known as a user of the bus network in the Lake Macquarie area and is known to frequent the shops at Whitebridge and Hudson Park in Kotara.
There is no known association between the two boys.
