POLICE have raided a high end watch store connected to celebrity bikie associate Mark Judge where they have seized millions of dollars worth of “rebirthed” Rolex watches and large sums of cash.
Judge, a former associate of the Rebels bikie club, allegedly sold the watches priced anywhere from $20,000 to over $100,000 from a store in Westfields at Bondi Junction.
A special strike force formed to investigate the sale of suspected fraudulent watches raided the store yesterday morning seizing 138 watches worth more than $3.5 and $270,000 in cash.
Judge, who regards himself as a celebrity, is overseas.
A number of law enforcement agencies, including NSW police, the federal Police, the Australian Border force and NSW fair trading began an investigation in June this year to investigate the fraudulent sale of luxury watches throughout Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs.
The 38-year-old shot to fame in 2009 when he and former Home & Away actor Jodi Gordon were found by police in Judge’s Bellevue Hill home after ringing them saying they were being attacked by armed men. It later emerged the pair had met while partying in Kings Cross.
Two years later Judge almost died after being stabbed nine times outside the same unit.
Police said a 43-year-old man was arrested earlier this month after allegedly purchasing a ‘Rolex’ watch fraudulently from the store.
He was charged with dishonestly obtain property by deception, possess identity information to commit indictable offence and deal with property proceeds of crime.
The man appeared at Waverly Local Court on Wednesday 6 June 2018 where he was refused bail to reappear at Parramatta Drug Court on Wednesday 29 August 2018.
