CCTV released of vehicles in area near drive-by that killed grandma Kim Duncan in Ambarvale

Police have released CCTV of a meeting between two cars in the area where a grandma was fatally gunned down in a drive-by shooting.

Police have released footage a month after a grandma was gunned down in a fatal drive-by shooting on a quiet street in Sydney’s southwest.

The CCTV footage captured two vehicles – a white SUV and a blue sedan – parked behind each other in a cul-de-sac.

Three men emerge from the cars – two from the SUV, who are pictured walking to the single male driver of the sedan, stopping to speak with him.

Police are interested in the vehicles as they were in the area at the time 65-year-old grandma, Kim Duncan was fatally shot.

About 11pm on April 14, police were called to Dickens Road in Ambarvale following reports a woman had been shot.

When they arrived on scene, they found 65-year-old Kim Duncan with a gunshot wound to her leg.

Ms Duncan was treated by police and paramedics, but died at the scene.

A 34-year old man and a 21-year-old woman were also in the home at the time, but were uninjured.

Two days later, police arrested Ms Duncan’s son, 34-year-old James Shaine Dowd, in southwest Sydney and took him to Campbelltown Police Station on unrelated matters.

Another 32 year – old male was also arrested.

The men assisted police inquiries and neither were charged.

It is not suggested that Mr Dowd or the 32-year-old man had any involvement with the shooting.

Police have released descriptions of the men in the CCTV.

The first male is described as caucasian in appearance, about 180cm tall, thin build, aged in his 30s.

The second male is described as Middle Eastern in appearance, about 185cm tall, athletic build, aged in his 30s.

The third male is described as Pacific Islander in appearance, about 180cm tall, large build, aged in his 20s.
