Following on from her role as former Premier Gladys Berejiklian’s part-time personal assistant during lockdown, Carla has settled into Premier Chris Minn’s office as his new part-time PA.

The straight-talking drag queen from western Sydney became a Bankstown icon after her videos posing as Ms Berejiklian’s no-nonsense assistant garnered hundreds of thousands of views.

Now Carla is back, helping out the new premier at the recommendation of his wife Anna Minns, who it turns out is a big fan.

After only one day on the job, Carla had some strong opinions about her new boss.

“Bro, he’s hot, he knows what he’s doing and he doesn’t let me vape in the office,” she said.

“I got in trouble many times and set the smoke alarms off vaping in the bathroom.

“But he does let me leave early to go and get my back waxed – and sometimes it’s a two-for-one special and me and Chris go Thursday night shopping and get our backs waxed together.”

When asked by The Daily Telegraph about his choice of personal staff, Mr Minns replied,

“What can I say? There’s a labour shortage.”

Unfortunately, Carla couldn’t be kept on permanently but gave the premier and his wife a parting gift of two Carla ‘gronk’ hoodies to wear on the streets of Mr Minn’s Kogarah electorate.
