A group of people can be seen fleeing a suburban Sydney street where a man was found injured with gunshot wounds.
The man remains in a stable condition in hospital, with police arresting four men in relation to the alleged attack.
Just before 3.40pm yesterday, the injured man believed to be in his 30s, was found bleeding in Torrens St in Canley Vale in Sydney’s southwest.
NSW Ambulance paramedics treated him at the scene before he was taken to Liverpool Hospital.
Police said they believed the man was the victim of a “targeted shooting” and set up a number of crime scenes in nearby streets, taking four men into custody, including two from Kiora St around the corner.
Witness Elsie Sing said she was “shaken up” to see the bleeding victim.
“I seen one of them holding his right side, blood coming, pouring,” Ms Sing said. “I noticed he had blood all over his arms, his shirt and he was holding onto his right side.
“I was shaken up, I didn’t know what to think.”
Officers from Cabramatta Local Area Command appealed for public help.
“The circumstances surrounding the incident are unknown and police are urging any witnesses, or anyone who may have seen or heard anything in the area at the time of the incident, to contact Crime Stoppers,” a statement from the NSW Police Force said.
