An Ocean Shores horticulturist shoved his girlfriend and demanded she “get rid of the f--king baby” outside his house after finding out she was pregnant.

Jordan Sthenski pleaded guilty on Monday to common assault and using his phone to harass.

The 25-year-old and the victim had been in an on and off again relationship for a year when she arrived at his home about 5pm on January 12.

The victim told Sthenski she was five weeks pregnant, according to court documents.

“He would only provide financial support if he could be sure the child was his”, police state.

The victim was living with her ex-partner at the time and Sthenski suspected they were intimate.

“An argument developed and the victim became upset and said their relationship was over,” the documents state.

“She began throwing items at Sthenski … and threw a large glass bong on the ground.

“The bong shattered on the floor spraying glass around the home.”

Sthenski began moving the victim towards the front door.

“There was a short struggle where Sthenski grabbed her upper body and pushed her out the doorway,” the documents state.

Once the woman was outside, Sthenski pushed her again and asked her to leave.

That night the victim received more than 60 messages and 20 calls from Sthenski.

She asked him to stop contacting her but the next day he tried another 44 times.

“You’re not getting a cent from me you f--king parasite,” one of the messages read.

“You’re a f--king weak little b--ch.

“Get rid of the f--king baby. My child doesn’t deserve to have a w--re as a mother.”

The victim reported the situation to officers at Brunswick Heads Police Station.

Police applied for an AVO to protect her and arrested Sthenski at Byron Bay Police Station.

Defence Lawyer Tom Ivey told the court Sthenski accepted pushing the woman once she was out the door was not necessary.

“He was concerned she would damage his property,” he said.

“His mental health has declined because of this matter.

“Since she made a complaint there has been no contact.”

Magistrate Karen Stafford said the victim was vulnerable during the assault because she was in the risky early stages of pregnancy.

She said the messages Sthenski sent the victim were threatening and abusive.

“The language you used would have an impacted on her wellbeing,” she said.

Sthenski was sentenced to a 12-month community corrections order and convictions.
