This Tweed Coast suburb has well and truly proved itself as a serious contender when it comes to luxury coastal options.
The listing promised “sheer grandeur” and “tranquil ambience” from this architecturally-designed beachfront home.
The gourmet kitchen has filtered water and if the beach still feels too far away, there’s a saltwater pool.
31 Lizray Road, Federal: $2,975,000
This stunning brick and timber rendered home on a three acre block near Federal village was listed for a June 19 auction, but according to its listing, it sold for almost $3 million more than a month prior.
The original home was built in the 1970s but had undergone a “complete transformation, renovation in extension”, which was completed in 2015.
2/43 Pacific Parade, Lennox Head: $2,200,000
This brand new beachside three-bedroom home was snapped up on May 13.
The listing boasted the home was “intuitively designed to embrace low maintenance coastal living” and was “beautifully appointed with state of the art bespoke finishes”.
44 The Serpentine, East Ballina: $2,560,000
There aren’t many properties closer to the water than this one, which sold on May 15.
It’s a five bedroom, three bathroom home with a “gourmet kitchen”, dual living possibilities and new blackbutt timber flooring.
A full width balcony offers views of “lush gardens and parklands”.
20 Parkes Avenue, Byron Bay: $1,350,000
This one bedroom, one bathroom apartment is a 124 sqm space in the Habitat precinct in the Byron Arts and Industry estate.
It’s a live-work situation; with a shop front and office on the ground floor and living space above.
This property sold on June 3.
28 Bangalow Road, Byron Bay: $1,600,000
Described in its listing as a “cute cottage”, and walking distance to the Byron CBD, this three bedroom one bathroom stand-alone home sold on May 26.
“Tucked away off Bangalow Road”, the home boasts a private tropical garden and sits on a 370 sqm block.
The home’s entryway is opposite The General Store and The Bower.
24/33-35 Childe Street, Byron Bay: $1,750,000
This two bedroom, two bathroom apartment sold on May 29.
It’s a “luxury architect-designed beach apartment” within the exclusive East on Byron Resort and a short distance to Belongil Beach with access to a large shared lagoon-style pool.
46-64 Walsh Street, Chinderah, NSW: $4,100,000
This “exquisite estate”, which has a fully floodlit tennis court, sold on June 4.
Known as Jacaranda House (previously Kingscliff Seaside Guest House), the property has six bedrooms, six bathrooms and room for six cars on a two acre block.
It’s surrounded by rainforest and manicured gardens and the homestead was “lovingly renovated in 2016”.
2 Murwillumbah Street, Mullumbimby: $3,300,000
This “magnificent” 1930 home, built over two titles and known as Magnolia House, is perched on 2.5 acres near the Brunswick River.
The listing said Magnolia House, which has a century-old Magnolia tree, is “one of the finest examples of the older residences of Mullumbimby and has enjoyed a colourful history of previous owners”.
19 Cylinders Drive, Kingscliff: $4,090,000
The listing described this coastal home, which sold on May 26, as a “modern Hamptons-inspired masterpiece” and an “idyllic private sanctuary”.
It has an American Oak timber staircase and a “magnificent master suite” with a pitched roofline and a private balcony.
The downstairs windows are tinted for heat and glare resistance, the gardens have an auto-irrigation system and the yard has a magnesium, mm pool.
1008 Teven Road, Alstonville: $1,600,000
This stunning property, known as Tuckombil House, sold at the weekend.
The listing boasted a “magnificent easterly outlook”, full-sized rotunda and tranquil surrounds and privacy” in the hinterland behind Lennox Head.
