BULLDOGS centre Josh Morris has responded to outcry over the club’s drunken antics during Mad Monday celebrations at The Harbour View Hotel in The Rocks.
The Cronulla-bound player took to Instagram to defend the scenes of raucous partying exclusively captured by The Daily Telegraph, which included him and his twin brother Brett tackling coach Dean Pay over the rope separating the private area the team had reserved.
In the since deleted post, Morris shared the same of picture of Prince William from two different angles: A front-facing shot of Prince William holding three fingers in the air and a side shot of him appearing to give the rude finger to the crowd.
Morris included the caption: “Perception vs reality”.
While the Australian and NSW representative player might like to suggest the Mad Monday celebrations had been taken out of context, the NRL club has some explaining to do for disaster involving players stripping naked in plain sight.
The celebrations saw Bulldogs second rower Adam Elliott captured dancing completely naked on a table to roars of laughter from teammates and officials, with one player even grabbing his private parts.
Other controversial moments included players passed out on the ground, stumbling into cabs and vomiting on the ground.
