Bindi Irwin has announced she is expecting her first child, revealing her pregnancy on social media tonight.
Bindi posted a photo with husband Chandler Powell and a baby zookeeper outfit, saying they were excited to welcome their own “wildlife warrior” into the world.
“Chandler and I are proud to announce we are expecting!” Mrs Irwin said.
“It’s an honour to share this special moment in our lives with you. Though I’m still in my first trimester, we really want you to be a part of our journey from the beginning of this new life chapter,” she announced to fans.
The daughter of the iconic Crocodile Hunter Steve Irwin thanked her fans for their support, and said she couldn’t wait to reveal the news.
“We couldn’t wait to share the news as this beautiful little being has become the most important part of our lives,” she said.
“Your support means the world to us. Please let me know your best advice and send good vibes and prayers to our little sweetheart.”
The newlyweds married last March at Australia Zoo in a small ceremony just before restrictions on weddings came into place.
Chandler and Bindi met six years ago, with the wakeboarder from the US now working with his wife at Australia Zoo.
