‘Big Fat Greek’ wedding groom accused of stockpiling steroids

HE first made headlines with his “Big Fat Greek” wedding complete with $25 million worth of luxury cars two years ago. Now Andrew Constantinou has made headlines again for all the wrong reasons.

HE drew attention to himself in 2016 with a showy, Salim Mehajer-style $100,000 wedding featuring a procession of flashy cars worth $25 million.

But Andrew Constantinou was not as welcoming of the spotlight when the Wetherill Park Region Enforcement Squad knocked on the front door of his Panania home on Wednesday and allegedly found a $400,000 stockpile of steroids.

Officers allegedly spotted the 36-year-old hurling a suitcase full of prescription medication over his neighbours’ fence.

At the Panania property, police allegedly found 150 vials of steroids, hundreds of packets of prescription medication and 3kg of liquid steroids.

Constaninou’s lavish wedding to Rachel Carter was compared to that of Salim Mehajer just nine months earlier.

Searches of two other properties linked to the Greek Cypriot businessman uncovered a plethora of steroids in all shapes and sizes, according to police.

Cpnstantinou’s 20016 was literally a traffic stopper as the procession of Rolls Royces, Lamborghinis, Ferraris, and gold-plated Harley-Davidsons made their way from the Pullman Hotel at Olympic Park to the nearby Waterview Function centre.

Mr Constantinou was charged with drug supply and possession and is due to appear in Bankstown Local Court in December.
