“The Gympie Muster and I have what you could call “History” this festival has given me some of my biggest musical thrills since I first played it with the Blue healer band back in 1992 as a 23 year old!! There is no bigger out door Country Music festival in Australia and it still to this day provides something for all listening tastes. Where else can you find Bush poetry , Blues and Roots music and some of Australia’s amazing emerging and well established Country Music Artists?? The Gympie Muster has given me a lot over the years with all the crowds I have played in front of there, but the most beautiful gift it gave to me was meeting my wife Laurel there in 1993. Harry Manx:"I've toured Australia quite a number of times over the last ten years and I've loved it all. I found myself playing to folks from all walks of life. More often than not in the larger cities. But honestly I really like to tour outside the larger cities, in the smaller towns. I like the landscape, the space. That's where you'll find some fine hard working people...they make a good crowd too.... and I may be wrong but I get the feeling that those are exactly the kind of people that attend the Muster.
