SHOULD Alex Dobson have put his five-year-old son in a car to do a burnout?
The video of Riley sitting in the car as smoke billowed out from the rear tyres received national TV news coverage over the weekend.
The reaction to that said it was a stupid idea and I have to agree.
It's all well and good to teach young children how to drive a car on a quiet rural property, but tutoring them on how to smoke up a car is just plain madness.

It gets down to why do a burnout in the first place.
It just destroys tyres, costs money and makes no sense at all.
Mr Dobson says his son's burnout was done in a safe manner because the car was anchored to a tree.
What would have happened if the rope broke and the car hurtled away crashing into the bush?
It would be a far different story today than just one about the youngest burnout rev head in Australia.
