A FORMER New South Wales aged care nurse has been found guilty of murdering two residents and attempting to murder a third.

Garry Steven Davis, 29, injected large doses of insulin into three residents of the SummitCare nursing home in New- castle over two days in October 2013. Gwen Fowler, 83, and Ryan Kelly, 80, died as a result.

The court was told Davis had a lack of empathy, was a compulsive liar and, by his own admission, craved attention. The court also heard Davis was sacked or forced out of all but one of the six facilities he had worked at.
