The 24-year-old carpenter, who was recently chosen as the Aussie Diet Coke guy, for obvious reasons - is in competition with UK counterpart Andrew Cooper to be voted the most wanted.
Cooper's TV ad has been overheating women right across the globe since it launched earlier this year but Wilson has kicked off his campaign by sledging his rival for faking it.
"In his ad he plays a gardener but he's just a model and I'm the real deal," he said.
The friendly banter is all part of the 30-year anniversary of the "Diet Coke guy" advertising series, which has made its hot-and-heavy mark by tempting consumers with half-naked tradies downing the soft drink.
