A DISTURBING new recording of a vitriolic argument between accountant to the stars Anthony Bell and his television presenter wife Kelly Landry has come to light, showing the extent of the bitter breakdown of the couple’s once-envied society marriage.
In a furious tirade, recorded in August last year while the couple were in Rio for the Olympic Games, Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race winner Mr Bell accuses his wife of having affairs, of stealing from him, of lying, of memorising his credit card number and “hiding (sic) on my f...ing coat tails”.

The Bells travelled to Rio so the businessman could fulfil his role as chief patron of the Australian Olympic sailing team, an appointment made in May 2016 that ensured him a role with Yachting Australia’s high-performance advisory group and a mentoring spot with the Australian sailing team.
This 11-minute recording was made three months before the November 18 recording that was last week tabled in Downing Centre Local Court during Ms Landry’s application for a permanent AVO against her allegedly abusive husband.
Mr Bell has denied any wrongdoing and vigorously defended the application.
In the new recording, Mr Bell unleashes a verbally battering broadside.
Ms Landry responds only briefly to a hostile grilling from Mr Bell on a range of subjects, including his suspicions of her infidelity.
She suggests he hire an “investigator” to prove the allegation, which she denies.
“(You are a) f...ing merciless queen of the nasty, you are,” Mr Bell explodes in the recorded file which emerged on Friday, the day after a four-day court hearing ended. Ms Landry is understood to have recorded the argument on her phone while the couple were staying at a Copacabana resort.
“Look me clean in the eye, Kel, and say ‘I’ve never cheated on you’. Go on. Look me clean in the eye. Clean in the eye. (Hums) Go on. Go on. Look me clean in the eye,’ Mr Bell presses.
“I’ve never cheated on you, Anthony,” Ms Landry responds.
“Do you swear on (child’s name)’s life?” Mr Bell shouts.
“Yes,” she answers.
“As soon as you said that guy B.......’s name last night I started Googling him, ‘Ah 34-year-old guy — he’s probably the guy Kel f...s when she goes down to Melbourne for three days’. You know what? I think and feel like that because of you … Cos you’ve lied to me and swore on my kids. Because you’re a distrustworthy little f...ing liar.”
“What a f...ing waste of time. For someone who f...ing steals off me.”
In the expletive-loaded exchange, Mr Bell accuses his wife of five years of living the “life of Riley” while he works his “fingers to the bone under f...ing financial duress” — a statement that reflects reports emerging last week that the accountant’s numerous multi-million-dollar assets are heavily mortgaged.
“When you say to me (garbled) ‘Oh yeah, I’ve never cheated on you, go and get an investigator’, I don’t believe you. I don’t believe a f...ing word that comes out of your mouth. Not one. That’s what you’ve done to my trust. And believe me, I’ve done everything to earn (your) f...ing trust,” Mr Bell fires.
“All I’ve done is work my fingers to the f...ing bone under financial duress, under everything so you can have the life of f...ing Riley. And what do you do with that life of Riley? You stick it up in my face.
“You find out what it’s like to live on f...ing nothing like I do. It’s going to be a f...ing awful taste in your mouth. Get used to it. It’s going to be the next 50 years if you look like that.”
A court last week heard Ms Landry allegedly sustained bruising to her arm during an altercation at the couple’s Watsons Bay mansion on November 19, three months after the recorded argument in Rio took place. The couple later separated and the former Getaway presenter filed a police report six weeks later in January.
Mr Bell has denied all wrongdoing in relation to the allegations and there is no suggestion of any physical violence in the recently emerged tape.
While Mr Bell’s legal team spent last week painting Ms Landry as a suspicious wife with a drinking problem, she testified that she lived on a $1000 weekly allowance provided at her multi-millionaire husband’s discretion. She added Mr Bell, an accountant, insisted she send invoices for expenses to his personal assistant at his firm Bell Partners.
Sources have told The Sunday Telegraph the Rio rant was recorded after Mr Bell discovered his wife had taken $300 from his wallet to go shopping. During the recording the high-profile accountant repeatedly accuses the stay-at-home mother of theft.
“It’s disgusting … It’s the most disgraceful wifing (sic) I’ve ever f...ing heard of”.
“Something occurred to me,” Mr Bell states. “The whole value of me is this trip. To get you into the Olympic compound, because you’d never been to the Olympics before. ‘Anthony can get me in. All the big boats …’ That’s the whole zizzle (sic) … sizzle in our relationship is the f...ing s..t that I give you, (the) reason your life (has) some sort of credibility because you get to think ‘Oh Anthony, my superyacht’ … like ‘I achieved something — I’m at the Olympics’ … Talking like you’re a part of the attache yourself.
“You’re not. You’re hiding (sic) on my f...ing coat tails. That’s all you are. And robbing from me while you do it. That’s the whole reason you stay with me, because of … the helicopters, the thingo, the thing (sic) to give your life some sort of definition and quality. Well that’s over. I’m not stupid.”
Scorning his wife’s social media use, Mr Bell further accuses Ms Landry of using it to acquire “some sort of relevance”. “You wanted to come up to Dubai so you could actually Instagram our new boat. ‘Doesn’t my life have some sort of relevance now because my husband has got a new boat for both of us’,” he said.
“Well you don’t get a piece of it. Not even an inch of it. Not even the tiniest floating piece of fibreglass of it do you get any credit for.
“How (long) did you think it was go to last for, Kel?”
“You always go ‘Why don’t you ever say My beautiful wife’ … Look at all the things you’ve done to f... me over. I’ve f...ing wasted my whole f...ing six years dedicated to you. What a f...ing waste of time. For someone who f...ing steals off me.”
Money remains a dominant theme, with Mr Bell stating that Ms Landry’s brother “offered to actually reimburse me for your crimes”.
The famed collector of high-profile friends, including Michael Clarke, Larry Emdur, Karl Stefanovic and Anthony Minichiello, ponders on how long the couple’s troubled marriage will endure and rubbishes Ms Landry’s efforts as a wife: “It’s disgusting … It’s the most disgraceful wifing (sic) I’ve ever f...ing heard of”.
“How (long) did you think it was go to last for, Kel? How long? Did you actually think you were going to get all of this s..t and the riches and the great life you did by treating me like a c..t forever?”
The court’s ruling on the AVO will be handed down in two weeks.
