AMBER Harrison has dropped her court battle with Seven West Media and agreed to a permanent gag order over speaking about her affair with former lover, Seven boss Tim Worner.

Earlier today, Ms Harrison refused to agree to a settlement which would have paid a tiny fraction of her legal costs and forced her to apologise.

Ms Harrison this morning pulled out of the settlement that would have prevented her from saying anything disparaging about anyone at Seven and permanently gag her from speaking about her two-year affair with Mr Worner.

But this afternoon, the former Network Seven employee took to social media to announce she’d chosen not to continue the court battle.

“I have made a realistic assessment of the court case and am choosing not to run it on Monday,” Ms Harrison tweeted.

“I’ve asked my legal team not to represent me.”

Ms Harrison’s court action to fight the injunction preventing her from speaking was scheduled to return to the Supreme Court on Monday.

Seven has for months been negotiating a settlement with the former executive assistant.

It is understood the sticking point was Seven’s demand that she personally apologise to four other Seven employees for any hurt or embarrassment caused by her alleging they also had affairs with Mr Worner.

Seven wanted to pay her just $50,000 in legal costs to end the bitter three-year dispute, but Ms Harrison initially refused to agree.

It is unclear what the final settlement amounted to.

Ms Harrison was also taking Federal Court action against Seven seeking compensation for alleged breaches of her workplace rights.

The Federal Court in April ordered the parties to negotiate a settlement and both sides attended a mediation hearing on June 1 and 2.

The collapsed talks continue a three-year battle which began in July, 2014 when Ms Harrison revealed to Seven she and Mr Worner had engaged in an affair allegedly involving drug use.

Seven agreed a few months later to pay Ms Harrison $86,000 and give her a new job but later accused her of making $262,000 worth of unauthorised expenses claims.

Harmers negotiated an agreement with Seven under which Ms Harrison would get $350,000, but payments were stopped after she failed to return a phone containing compromising messages from her affair with Mr Worner.

In total she pocketed $323,500 from Seven but later leaked embarrassing messages between her and Mr Worner.
