Malcolm Turnbull’s son launched a disgusting attack on a female journalist on his social media account.

Alex Turnbull last night speculated about the sex life of Janet Albrechtsen from The Australian on Twitter.

His comment came after Ms Albrechtsen called out Mr Turnbull’s repeated tweets about Australian politics and said “Alex Turnbull has become a very funny caricature of the sore loser. Keep it coming.”

Mr Turnbull’s tweet was roundly condemned on Twitter.

“Why on earth do you think any woman’s sex life is something you can comment on? If Abbott or any of the right wing Libs made such a comment about a female journalist would you consider that decent, respectable and a sign of your progressive credentials?” wrote journalist Latika Bourke.

Mr Turnbull retorted “just because politicians kids cant punch back while a parent is in office they never will” is wrong assumption.

He later deleted the tweet but justified his actions saying: “Fair play taken down. But the hypocrisy is what it is”.

Then he provided a backhanded apology.

“Apologies to Janet Albrechtsen. Your personal life much like your opinions on family values and judgments on the lives of others have no place in public discourse,” he tweeted.
