BWM Group founding partner and adman Rob Belgiovane has sold his Parriwi Rd, Mosman home for a bullish price off-market.

The $8 million buyers have emerged as thoroughbred horse owner Paul Fleming, the son of the late grocery tycoon Jim Fleming, and wife Allison.

The deal was done by a truly local agent, Robert Klaric at The Property Expert International, who lives just up the street.

Belgiovane, who founded BWM in 1996 with Paul Williams and Jamie Mackay, had paid $6.5 million three years ago when buying from the former Bank of Queensland chief Stuart Grimshaw.

The four-level Chinamans Beach home, with a private beach, was designed by architect Guy De Compiegne.

It has five bedrooms and four bathrooms.

It’s a return to the neighbourhood for the Flemings, who previously owned on the dress circle Shellbank Ave before selling in late 2017 for $11.05 million.

Parriwi Rd prices have reached $10.1 million, with only a couple of sales per year.

An $8.55 million sale was recently secured by the Barros family.

Belgiovane has lived in Mosman before.

He sold his renovated Balmoral slopes home for $5,575,000, well over double his $2.46 million purchase price in 2011.

LUCKED IN

Former Sydney Swan midfielder Ben McGlynn, now senior coach of VFL side Sandringham in Melbourne, has finally offloaded his Coogee investment apartment.

The off-market sale, secured by Tristan Oddi at Phillips Pantzer Donnelley, was nearly two years in the making. There has been no price reveal, but McGlynn had initially been seeking $1.05 million when listed in January 2018 with a different agency.

He turned down a $1 million offer for the two-bedroom unit that had cost him $590,000 in 2010, just after he arrived in Sydney in 2006.

They secured the transformed 1950s property earlier this year on delayed settlement terms.

It was the home of Fabio Zarfati, the Lamborghini expert who owns Rose Bay Automotive. He had paid $7.5 million for the Short St home in late 2016 and called in interior designer Victoria Chapman to renovate the four-level, four-bedroom property.

It features a harbour view master suite, a home office and a bespoke wine cellar.

It ranks as the second-highest sale in the pricey coastal suburb this year.

They snapped up the Walter Barda pavilion-style home after just one inspection through LJ Hooker Palm Beach’s David Edwards. It had been the weekender of former Channel 7 boss Ian Holmes and wife Ann who paid $4 million in 2008.

Set on 690sq m, the four-level home has four bedrooms, a billiards room and a heated swimming pool and spa.
