Active clandestine lab discovered and man charged by Organised Crime Squad detectives
Police have discovered an alleged clandestine drug lab in Silverdale while undertaking a search warrant in Sydney’s west.

Police have charged a man after busting an alleged drug lab actively operating in Sydney’s west.
Organised Crime Squad detectives, executed a search warrant at a property on Tiger St, Silverdale on Friday, allegedly uncovering the drug lab and seizing drugs and firearm parts.
One man was arrested after the search, and on Saturday charged with five offences, including manufacture prohibited drug – more than the large commercial quantity, supply prohibited drug (two counts), cultivate prohibited plant, organise/assist drug premises.
Specialist police from the Drug and Firearms Squad’s Chemical Operations Unit, the Technical Forensic Support Unit and NSW Fire & Rescue assessed the size of the lab before dismantling it.
Police said they located and seized firearm parts, a large amount of powder and liquid believed to be prohibited drugs, a cannabis hydroponic set up containing a number of cannabis plants and chemicals believed to be used in the manufacture of prohibited drugs.
All items will undergo further forensic examination and inquiries under Strike Force Springfield continue.
The 30-year-old is set to face Parramatta bail court on Saturday.
