Two arrested days after man’s body found in Sydney’s inner west

THE inner west couple accused of murdering aspiring rapper Jett “Scepaz” McKee allegedly hid in a suburban alcove just moments after he was slashed to the head with a samurai sword and police were swarming the streets and skies in search of them.

Police will allege they later found a bundle of cash in the alcove — a stunning development in Mr McKee’s bizarre and bloody demise.

The Daily Telegraph can reveal the incident allegedly began with a botched robbery by Mr McKee at the Forest Lodge home of Blake Davis, 28, and Hannah Quinn, 23, — a couple who he did not know.

Detectives believe Mr McKee punched Davis hard, injuring his face, before running from the home along Hereford St wearing a balaclava.

Sources have told The Telegraph police will allege Quinn gave chase and caught Mr McKee, bringing the aspiring rapper to the ground in the street.

Just metres behind Quinn, Davis allegedly followed with a samurai sword, striking Mr McKee to the top of the head while he was on his hands and knees.

Mr McKee collapsed and died a short distance away at the intersection of Hereford St and Minogue Crescent. A balaclava, fake gun and knuckledusters were found nearby.

Police will allege the accused couple then returned to their home, dumping the alleged murder weapon and changing some clothes before leaving again.

As police responded to the bloody scene and a helicopter circled, police will allege the couple hid in an alcove near Alfred Rd. Police will also allege they later found cash in the alcove where the couple had been hiding.

Police will allege Davis, delivered the fatal blow but have also charged Quinn with murder, claiming she was part of a joint criminal enterprise.

Homicide and local Leichhardt detectives are still investigating whether Mr McKee ran from the home after taking the cash which was later discovered in the alcove; or whether the couple took the money as they later fled their home.

It is understood police received a call on Sunday from a man they believe was Davis, informing them he would hand himself in.
