A 17-year-old boy has died after falling from cliffs in Sydney’s eastern suburbs.
Emergency services raced to Dunningham Reserve, Coogee Beach about 4:10pm yesterday after the teenager fell about 15 metres.
Paramedics treated the teen but he couldn’t be revived.
Police are investigating the incident, and a report will be prepared for the coroner.
The body of the 17-year-old had been removed from the scene three hours after the incident occurred.
Despite uniformed police officers surrounding the cliff’s edge, the tragedy was unbeknownst to many enjoying the warm weather in Coogee,.
Many were still carrying on with their day, as if nothing had even happened, while light blue uniformed police continued their investigations before placing the body in the back of a white van waiting at the top of the headland.
More officers continued to leave the area as further investigations continue.
