Police hunt four youths after violent assault on delivery driver in Karama

A delivery driver has been taken to hospital after being violently bashed with a rock in Karama.
Police are hunting for four youth allegedly responsible for the brutal late night attack.
Police say they received reports around 10:10pm on Monday that the 28-year-old had been assaulted by four male youths after delivering food on Lipia Court.
The group allegedly demanded money and goods from the victim, before then allegedly assaulting him with a rock.
Police allege one of the youths entered the victims car as he attempted to drive away, but fled after the victim called police, who provided first aid.
The delivery driver was taken to Royal Darwin Hospital to be treated for a laceration to the forehead during the incident.
The occupants of the food delivery address are not believed to be involved.
The four offenders have not been identified, and investigations are ongoing.
