The Nightcliff Tigers are closing in on a second placed finish but even with finals on the horizon, they know not to let off the gas against Palmerston in their final home game of the season.
The NT News and KommunityTV will stream every moment of this clash from 6pm on Friday.
The Tigers are on the edge of playing finals and know they’re now more than likely to finish among the sides with a double chance.
Their closest rivals Tiwi are behind in percentage, the Saints need to beat the ladder leaders and they have bottom side Palmerston left to complete their regular season.
However, that’s not a sign to take their final roster game lightly with a home ground send off for the year and needing to build cohesion heading into the finals.
Skipper Brodie Filo is a constant influence while Brandan Parfitt and Lachlan Tardrew have made the Nightcliff midfield a force to be reckoned with this season.
It’s a challenge Palmerston will have to try to impress against with the young squad playing their final game of the year.
Deacon Summerville and Nathaniel Lampton are two of the young guns who have impressed for the Magpies this season, while more seasoned players have brought some guidance.
The question will be what sort of dent they will make in this match to build momentum for season 2025-26.
