NT Police are hunting for the occupants of a car they believe intentionally targeted two motorcyclists in back to back hit and runs in the Darwin city area.

Police say a “small silver hatchback” struck a motorcyclist on McMinn St in Darwin City about 6am on Thursday, before fleeing the scene.

The 30-year-old rider suffered serious grazing to his leg and was taken to the Royal Darwin Hospital for treatment.

Police further allege the same silver hatchback struck another rider on Liffe St in Woolner a short time later.

This time the occupants allegedly attempted to rob the fallen rider, before they were confronted and again fled the scene.

The 43-year-old rider suffered minor grazing and was also taken to RDH for treatment.

As at Thursday morning, police said they had yet to find the vehicle and occupants.

Police said they believed the hit and runs were intentional.

“Anyone who witnessed the incidents, or who has dash cam or CCTV footage, is urged to contact police and quote reference number P24293700,” a PFES statement said.

“Anonymous reports can also be made through Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or via https://crimestoppersnt.com.au/.”
