Man ends up in hospital after 3m fall, and head injury from steel bar

A 56-year-old man has fallen 3m at Dundee with a steel pole hitting him on the head over the weekend.

It’s not clear if the pole lodged itself in the man’s head upon impact – or the extent of the injuries sustained.

St John Ambulance’s Craig Garraway said paramedics were able to free the man from the pole and take him to hospital – an almost hour long drive.

“It must have been working on and has also come down and given the clobber on the head so yeah paramedics went there and picked him up and brought him back in the hospital to get treated,” he said.
