AROUND 400 recent arrivals from Victoria are quarantining in the Howard Springs facility, as recent travellers from some areas of New South Wales are warned to get tested.
Currently Greater Melbourne and the Bendigo region have been declared hot spots amid a frightening outbreak of Covid-19 in the southern state.

Earlier on Wednesday Victorian officials announced the lockdown in Melbourne would be extended another seven days to control the outbreak of the Indian coronavirus variant, which has been dubbed a “super strain”.
Speaking on Wednesday, NT Health Minister Natasha Fyles said there were roughly 400 recent arrivals from Victorian hot spots isolating at the Howard Springs quarantine camp.
Ms Fyles also said recent visitors to several locations in southern New South Wales would now be required to get tested and isolate for 14 days.
“(Acting chief health officer Charles Pain) also advised anyone who travelled to New South Wales needs to look at the New South Wales website and those locations, and continue to do so please,” she said.
It comes after a confirmed case of Covid-19 travelled through areas of New South Wales before testing positive in Melbourne.
Despite no cases of Covid-19 being diagnosed in the regional Victorian city, Ms Fyles said Bendigo would remain a hotspot for now.
She said Dr Pain would join a meeting of the nation’s top health officials on Wednesday to further discuss the outbreak in Victoria and what measures should be applied.
