Families celebrated Easter troppo-style at the Waterfront

The annual Darwin Waterfront Easter egg hunt on Saturday was an eggstravagant celebration.
Families from across the Top End gathered to enjoy a range of Easter activities, including the famous Easter egg hunt.
“We have about 10,000 Easter eggs ready,” Yasmine Welsh from Darwin Waterfront Corporation told the NT News.
“We expect about 3500 families to come here today.
“It’s fantastic to see so many Territorian families out and about enjoying the Waterfront.”
Mother Bec said it was her seventh time visiting the Waterfront for Easter.
“We have come every year since Oshen was young,” she said.
“It gets better and busier every year.”
For baby Meera, it was her first Easter celebration.
“It’s our first time coming with our baby,” mother Kalyani said.
“We’re very happy to be here.”
The roaming Easter bunny was joined by hopping rabbits and little chicks courtesy of Top End Critters.
“We’re doing barnyard animals for Easter,” Charlotte said.
“We have rabbits, chickens and guinea pigs — the Easter bunny is also in there.”
