Emergency services find man dead after Alice Springs vehicle fire

A man has died in a vehicle fire in Alice Springs with police stating the death is believed to be non-suspicious.

A man has died in a vehicle fire in Alice Springs.

Northern Territory Fire and Rescue Services found the man after 2.40pm on Saturday while responding to a vehicle fire on Undoolya Rd.

Northern Territory Police did not provide the age of the man.

An investigation into the circumstances of his death are underway, however police said the circumstances are believed to be “non-suspicious”.

A report will be prepared for the coroner.

On Saturday, images of the vehicle fire circulated for a short time on Facebook via the Action for Alice 2020 page.

The images were taken down after a request from the police, a post later on Saturday said.
