CHARLES Darwin University has unveil the new design of its $250m Education and Community Precinct.
Vice-Chancellor Scott Bowman released the design, which has undergone a significant revamp.
“This is going to be an absolute game changer for Darwin and actually a game changer for the Northern Territory,” he said.
“It’s an absolutely state of the art education facility.
“We know that Darwin is a tourism mecca, we know it is a great seat of government but this will be a beacon saying Darwin is an education city.”
The campus was designed by national firm MODE.
The excavation of the site was completed in April.
The construction phase is expected to run until late 2023 and the entire project to be completed in 2024.
Once complete in the first quarter of 2024, the Precinct will house CDU’s Asia Pacific College of Business and Law, the College of Indigenous Futures, Education and the Arts, IT teaching and the university’s International College and Art Gallery.
