February 12, 12pm: A woman who allegedly stabbed two people in the Alice Springs CBD is at large, NT Police say.

Police said the alleged stabbing happened at a licensed premises on Todd St on Wednesday afternoon.

Police say a woman was allegedly stabbed in the back of the head, while a man who intervened was also allegedly injured as well.

The woman allegedly behind the stabbing fled before police arrived, and the two victims were sent to hospital.

The man and woman stabbed were left with “minor injuries” according to police.

“All three persons involved are believed to be known to each other,” an NT Police spokesperson said.

Police said investigations were ongoing, as were attempts to find the alleged stabber.

Youth arrested over stolen car in Larapinta

February 12, 11.45am: A 14-year-old will go before a Judge in Alice Springs, facing a litany of charges after allegedly stealing a car.

Police said the teen handed himself into custody Tuesday afternoon, after police began investigating a report a car had been stolen from a servo on Larapinta Drive the same morning.

Police charged the boy with theft, driving a motor vehicle without consent, and driving a motor vehicle unlicensed.

He will face the Alice Springs local court on Wednesday.

Police said the stolen vehicle held a quantity of cash, which has as yet not been recovered.

With the cash outstanding, police said they are continuing investigations, and are calling on the public for assistance.

Woman clings to bonnet of moving car in DV incident: Police

February 11, 5pm: A woman was left holding onto the bonnet of a car driving through an Alice Springs suburb in a domestic violence incident,NT Police say.

Police said they received reports of the incident just after 8am on Tuesday morning, when a white Holden Commodore was spotted driving dangerously through Larapinta.

The woman, 40, was in an argument with the 42-year-old male driver on Lyndavale Drive when she fell onto the bonnet, according to police.

Police allege the man then drove away with her on it, before she was flung from the car near Zeal St.

“The offender (then) allegedly drove at her, forcing her to move out of the way to avoid being struck, before fleeing the scene in the vehicle,” police said.

The duo are known to each other, police said.

The woman did not require medical treatment, police said, while the driver remains outstanding and investigations continue, police said.
