Young boy in stable condition following Jan Juc crash

A young boy injured in a bike crash at Jan Juc remains in the Royal Children’s Hospital after being airlifted last night.

A YOUNG boy injured in a bike crash at Jan Juc remains in hospital.

The 11-year-old boy was flown to the Royal Children’s Hospital around 5pm on Tuesday.

A hospital spokeswoman confirmed on Wednesday his condition had been downgraded from serious to stable.

Paramedics worked on the boy for more than an hour after he briefly lost consciousness following the crash.

Paramedics were called to Bob Pettitt Reserve at 5pm to treat the boy and he was loaded into the Ambulance Victoria helicopter just before 7pm.

He was taken to hospital with upper body injuries, and two ambulances and police were at the scene.
